Fine art – what is fine art?

Many people asked me what fine arts are. So here I am trying to explain it.

Fine art is art that is created on aesthetic rather than decorative grounds, to be understood and responded to on its own, without relation to anything else. Is art created for purely aesthetic expression, communication, or contemplation.

My latest work. A poster made for a local pub named La fierarie – Pub poem (about). It’s a poster made to announce the events that will take place in this pub. On the rectangle at the top of the poster, A4 sheets of paper will be pasted, containing the information about the event that will take place that week

I drew the hammer man using a photo reference and then added the brick wall and other details. After drawing it, I scanned it and made some Photoshop improvements (contrast, sepia effect). Size: A2.
They liked it very much, so I hope you’ll like it too.
